The journey to the Mind Matters Summit™ has officially begun.
In Johannesburg, the launch event brought together media, brand partners, mental wellbeing ambassadors, corporate leaders and invited guests for a morning filled with immersive experiences and learning the new mental mastery toolkit needed to take on the future that is coming our way.
Mind Matters Summit™ is set to be one of the most anticipated events in Cape Town, bringing together world-class speakers and immersive experiences.
It was the first official step towards the main event on 29 October 2026, giving everyone a preview of what's to come.
Mind Matters Summit™ is bringing together a community of like-minds focused on understanding the new conversation around mental wellbeing, mindset growth, leadership, and personal development. The energy in the room made it clear that this is only the beginning of a growing movement and community of people who want to Unslave their Minds.
It's time to Unlock Your Future Self
From the moment guests arrived at The Edge, Wanderers Stadium, they were in high spirits not really knowing what to expect from the session. But everyone was ready to get the upgrade needed to "Unlock their future selves."
This was the new campaign launched by Momentum Multiply. The Mind Matters Summit™ x Momentum Multiply campaign is designed to give our community the tools, the thinking and the motivation to create a new future.
Everyone got to write a note of gratitude to their future selves thanking them for everything they have done today. It was a powerful manifestation exercise that was then posted at the Momentum Multiply stand.
Inspiring Conversations and the Misogi Challenge
One of the most talked-about moments of the launch was the Misogi Challenge.
A Misogi challenge is a modern personal-growth practice where you take on one massive, highly intimidating physical or mental test each year to expand your boundaries and build deep resilience. It is taken from the Japanese Samurai, Shinto purification ritual.
Mind Matters Summit™ created a mini Misogi challenge - 3 min ice plunge in Johannesburg winter! Starting with priming the brain with deep, invigorating breathwork and visualisation run by the DreamFuel team, the challenge almost called out to people - "You got to do hard things to change."
And what came next surprised everyone. Only 5 guests initially wanted to do an ice plunge, but after the talk by founder Kanchana Moodliar and the DreamFuel session, 25 people completed the 3 min ice plunge. Proving that your mind does indeed matter.
